Sincere Emotions

“Matt…” Mimi whispered, as she leaned her head against his shoulder, and looked out onto the lake.
“Yes?” he answered as he put his harmonica down on the soft green grass. Matt put his arm around Mimi as the cool night air blew.
“I love you,” Mimi said looking into his sweet blue eyes. Matt simply smiled and kissed her.

The next day they were packing to go home from the camping trip.
“Tai!” Sora yelled, “Get over here and leave that poor rabbit alone!” Tai smiled and walked over to Sora.
“I’m sorry Sora,” he said as he leaned over to kiss her, she quickly stepped out of the way and laughed as he fell face first into a pile of rabbit droppings. Matt laughed and Mimi giggled.
“Time to go!” said Joe. He was 17, Matt, Tai, and Sora were 16, and Mimi was 15. They all got into cars and drove home. Mimi rode with Matt.
As they pulled up to Mimi’s house, Matt kissed her goodbye, and she went inside.
Matt drove homeward and heard Mimi’s song come on the radio.

If you are about to reach the goal,
That you’ve always been striving for.
What would you do if you realize,
That it’s still so far away?

‘Wow’ thought Matt 'I didn’t know they played this song'.

How long do I have to go on?
Will there ever be an end?

Matt started to hum along.

How will you spend your uncertain days by yourself?
Are you tired from your flight?
You can’t go on anymore,
You can rest your wings and be comforted…

A car pulled out of nowhere.

…because I will always be here for you.

“What?!” Matt yelled as the car headed straight for him…

…CRASH!!!!! “Aaahhh!” chhhissssssss “Today,” began the reporter. Mimi was watching the news. “A young man died in a car crash right outside of Tokyo today, his name was Matt Ishida…”
“No…” Mimi mumbled. “NO!” She ran to the phone and dialed Matt’s number. “Hello? Hello? Matt? Are you there?”
“Hello,” replied Matt’s voice. Mimi felt relieved. “I am not home,” it continued. Mimi felt tears of loneliness run down her rosy face “please leave a message at the beep.” Beeeeep. A crash could be heard as the phone fell from Mimi’s hand onto the floor.
She was singing, and there was a harmonica playing in the background. A shadowy figure was playing it. She kept walking forward, but she never got to him. He kept getting farther, and farther away.

Mimi woke up and cried for hours, believing that nothing could cure her broken heart and her sincere emotions…

*NOTE: In case you didn't understand, Matt was in a car crash with a drunk driver, the chhhissssssss was the sound of static on the radio.
