Poké City, 1557:
Ace sat in the waiting room being chewed out by a Nurse Joy over how badly he fought Draco. He tuned her out after the first ten minutes. Draco had bounced back from worse and it was a fight to the death, Chizmo's death.
Draco woke in the center. His tail was fine, he rested on a marble slab. His back was sore but, healing. He wondered on the excruciating agony he felt before Chizmo rammed him. It was as if he lost part of himself out there.
Rolling onto his side he watched the moon through the window. Poké City, they just left this place to find themselves here again. His heart felt something missing. He lowered his head to the slab, feeling the cool rock beneath his cheek he slept.
It was dawn when Draco woke. He wandered about the small recovery room. His morning routines wanting to take over. It bubbled in him until he crept out his room. He could smell water somewhere, he followed it amid the scents of cleansers and alcohol.
He stared out a window. He loved sunrise, sunsets it didn’t matter! He smiled and nodded as he thought this could be a very good day. As he turned from the sight of a birthing new day the tribulations all came crashing back down on him. He sighed loudly trying to forget his worries. It just wasn’t easy being him.
He found the pool, his eyes lit up. Slipping in he swam about. Scrubbing his body he enjoyed his bath. He ducked his head under he blew bubbles, underwater he popped them with his claws. Rising above the surface he laughed to himself. After the troubles he saw the past few days he needed a little diversion like this.
Leaning against the side he slumped his shoulders over the pool edge. His tail swishing in the air. He shut his eyes and just let everything go. He relaxed his mind, his toes curling and uncurling underwater. He had forgotten he could slip into such a tranquil state of mind. He was the water about him, calm and silent, cool and serene. A slight pleasant rumble escaped his throat as he grinned.
It all felt so good. His thoughts roamed to Cole. How he wanted to just grasp her and to kiss her, to gently caress her shoulders. To be her mate and to have children with her. He had thoughts of family swarm his mind lately. His time to settle down was hitting him too soon, he was younger than most dragons that settled on one mate. It may be too soon for him but, that didn’t make him not fit to make such commitments. He was one with a heart that yearned for it.
"Well since when do chars swim?" His eyes opened. It looked like he was alone yet, someone spoke.
"Who's there?" He called out. He trailed the pool edges with his eyes seeing no one.
"Just me." A blastiose rose from the water.
"I'm sorry I didn't know anyone else was here." He began to rise from the pool.
"It's okay stay. I'm bored anyway." She slumped her shoulders as well. "You didn't answer my question."
"It's just me that I know so far that swims." He smiled back at her.
"Really? That is so fascinating!" She giggled.
"I think it's plain weird." Draco relaxed back into the pool.
"No, it's cool!" She laughed, she winked at him.
What's up with that? Draco kept thinking to himself. He shrugged it off as he drifted into peace. He felt something tickle his chest, opening his eyes he found the turtle strumming her fingers along his chest.
"You look real strong!" She licked his cheek.
Smiling sheepishly he tried to crawl away as quickly as he could yet trying not to be rude. As she threw herself on him, Draco screamed. He flailed around as her lips pressed against his.
Nurse Joy busted in, he looked at her as her face twisted into anger. The blastiose looked just as embarrassed as he did. There was Draco with his fingers clasped to the edges of her shell and his hips quivering as he tried to shove the turtle away. Shelly was moaning and had a huge smile on her face when Joy had walked in.
"Get out of this center! Get out!" Nurse Joy shouted as she threw anything handy. "Out!"
"Is there a problem?" Ace entered the lobby.
“Geeez! What the hell is going on!” Yana settled onto Ace’s shoulder. “Hey boss what are we gonna do?”
“Try not to lose an eye or something!” Ace leapt sideways as a book flew.
"Get out! And take that crazy Char with you! He was screwing my precious little Shelly!" She tossed a clipboard at Draco as he ran.
Avoiding a book thrown at him, he accidentally slapped a jigglypuff with his wing sending her soaring across the room. His tail smacked a geodude into Chansey. He lit several pieces of office furniture ablaze as he tried to move about the crowded waiting room. As he swung around to apologize he knocked Joy down with his tail. His wings slapped another poor creature about. His feet crushed a bottle of some sort of pills as he stumbled and spilled things over. He saw a plant smash against the wall, apparently he kicked it or something, he let out a groan as he surveyed the damage he was causing.
“Hey! Draco calm down buddy! You’ll set the place on fire!” Yana shouted ducking and dodging about.
“Calm down? Shut up Yana!” Draco ducked under as a potted plant sailed over his head.
“Hey! Just trying to help!” Yana scuttled about.
Joy began cussing and new items flew at him. Draco ducked and charged for the lobby. He tumbled Chanseys over as he forced his way into the lobby. Ace ran after them still trying to calm Joy down. That was it Draco ran for the door never looking back.
Nero shouted as Joy slapped the fork out of his hand. She shoved him out the door and gave him a swift kick when he tried to enter the center again.
“I am seriously going to report you to the Humane society!” Yana shouted as he perched on a statue outside the center. “I thought Nurse Joys were always a bit nutty! But, you take the cake sister!”
Laura shook dirt from her blue shirt. Ace cussed as a clipboard aimed for Draco struck his head instead. The three ran with Draco in the lead. All shouting and throwing rocks at him. Then he tripped over his own tail and all went down in a punching, kicking pile.
"Call me love!" Shelly blew kisses at him as he retreated.
Great he woke feeling better just to find himself getting hit on by a horny turtle and being hit by a pokémon nurse. He knew his father wouldn't have gotten himself into such a strange situation. Or would he? Chimga said no one was perfect, not even legends.
