You all probably know that the right way to get Jirachi was to pre-order Pokemon Colosseum and get the bonus disc. But did you know that it's not the only way? I don't have a Jirachi yet, but here are some other ways I've heard of...
After beating Pokemon Channel (for GameCube) you get Jirachi in your house who invites Pikachu to watch a strarlight scope version of the Pichu Brothers movie. After watching it, return to your house and save on the report channel. When Prof. Oak asks if you want to keep playing, say no. Then restart the game and go to the options section on the menu at the beginning of the game. One of the bars should say "Jirachi" and you can get Jirachi for your Ruby/Sapphire game (see requirements in list below) but I think you have to have the PAL version, whatever that is...

Some sites say that when the scientist in the Mossdeep Space Center says "That's successful liftoff no. *83-100*!" then he will ask you if you'd like to go into space but I don't think it's true, although most sites say it works and it seems to be logical...
