mewtwo strikes back
Pokemon The First Movie, or Mewtwo Strikes Back! One of my favorite movies. Is that a surprise? ^.^ Well, anyway, hopefully you will learn all you want to about it here. But if you haven't seen the movie, I should warn you, this page contains spoilers!
Here's the official description of the movie(the one on the back of the tape's case):
The adventure explodes into action with the debut of Mewtwo, a bio-engineered Pokemon created from the DNA of Mew, the rarest of all Pokemon. Determined to prove it's superiority, Mewtwo lures Ash, Pikachu and the others into a Pokemon match like none before. Mewtwo vs. Mew. Super-clones vs. Pokemon. It's the ultimate showdown... with the very future of the world at stake!
And here's my description of the movie:
I loved this movie! Um, anyway, it starts out with Mewtwo finding out he's been cloned. Apparently, the scientists just treat him like an experiment, and this upsets Mewtwo and he destroys the entire laboratory. Then Giovanni, leader of Team Rocket, promises Mewtwo that they will rule the world together if he comes back with him. He accepts, and is put into challenges, each time victorious. However, Mewtwo finds out that Giovanni was just using him, and he escapes to "find his own purpose". Because of his bad experience with humans, he believes they are all fools. He recreates the laboratory on New Island and invites a bunch of trainers there, then he starts a storm using his psychic powers, and only the trainers capable of braving the storm make it there, which is just Ash, Misty, Brock, and three other trainers. Mewtwo makes his super-cloned Pokemon battle the trainers', and he clones all of them as well. A battle starts, and Mewtwo soon encounters his nemesis, Mew. They battle, Mew hesitant at first. Finally, Ash stops the battle by running right between Mew and Mewtwo, getting zapped with psychic energy, turning him into stone. Pikachu goes up to him and starts weeping away, all the other Pokemon(except for Mew and Mewtwo) joining in. Ash is revived by the Pokemon tears, and the battle is put to a stop. Mewtwo and Mew take the super-cloned Pokemon with them and Mewtwo erases the minds of all the trainers and their Pokemon, so they don't even remember Mewtwo, or Mew, or the battle.
My rating for this movie: Definately five stars! ^.^
