mewtwo returns
Mewtwo Returns, such a good movie that it tied with Mewtwo Strikes Back in my mind! Well, anyway, hopefully you will learn all you want to about it here. But if you haven't seen the movie, I should warn you, this page contains spoilers!
Here's the official description of the movie(the one on the back of the tape's case):
Deep in a remote area of the Johto Region is a place with crystal clear waters forbidding mountains... and a secret. Mewtwo and his fellow super-clone Pokemon have finally found a home where they can live and thrive, far from the prying eyes and harsh judgements of humans.
In Pokemon The First Movie, Mewtwo removed all traces of his battle with Mew, of the clones, and even of his very existence! Everyone's memory was erased, except for that of Giovanni, the evil force behind Mewtwo's creation.
Now the devious Team Rocket leader has discovered Mewtwo's idyllic hideaway. And as luck would have it, so have Ash, Pikachu and their friends. Soon Giovanni confronts Mewtwo with an agonizing challenge: submit to his human authority or stand by as the super-clones are sacrificed. And all-out battle seems certain, but the startling affects of their unique environment suddenly come into play... leaving the fate of Mewtwo in Ash's hands!
And here's my description of the movie:
Giovanni and Domino(A Team Rocket member) discover Mewtwo's hiding place on a moniter. It turns out that Mewtwo found a hiding place for him and the super-clones;atop Mt.Kana, a place in the Johto Region. It turns out Ash & Friends go there, but are late for the bus, so they have to stay at a cabin. This guy(I forgot his name... I'm bad about forgetting names, 'aint I?) and Domino end up at the cabin, Domino under cover as a worker for the Pokemon Institute. Team Rocket(Jessie, James, and Meowth) show up in their hot air balloon and capture Pikachu. Ash & Company, plus Luna, the woman that showed them to the cabin, and the guy and Domino follow them. Jessie, James, & Meowth crash on Mt.Kana, where they re-meet(well, they didn't know that because their memories were erased) Pikachu's clone, Mewtwo, and the super-clones. Luna and the guy discover the water at Mt.Kana can heal, and they're more interested in it than anything else. Anyway, Giovanni comes back for Mewtwo, using the super-clones as bait, saying if he doesn't step into these machine-things, the super-clones will certainly leave the world. Mewtwo accepts, and Giovanni trys to force his will to his purposes using the machine. However, it doesn't quite work. With the help of Ash, Misty, Brock, Pikachu, Clone Pikachu, Meowth, and Clone Meowth, Mewtwo is freed from the machines. However, he is badly hurt and Ash has to take him to the healing springs. He is healed, and moves the healing springs beneath Mt.Kana, and erases the minds of Giovanni and Team Rocket, but not Ash & Company's. Mewtwo now roams freely, but always by moonlight...
My rating for this movie: FIVE STARS! I loved this movie, I probably watched it more than fifty times.
