pokemon gold and silver

Gold and Silver are two of the best Pokemon games I've ever played(but not better than Crystal)^.^ Anyway, on to the point of the page. Here I will provide you with information on the game. However, I haven't and wont write out a complete walkthrough, you'll have to go to a different web site or a magazine for that. But I do, however, have basic information on the games here. ^.~ Enjoy!

Pokemon Gold and Silver are very, VERY different games, and better as well, when compared to Red, Blue, and Yellow. This time, you do not play as Ash Ketchum, you play as some other boy, who is from New Bark Town. You have a rival in this game as well(he is the one in the town that will push you if you talk to him) but you don't have to worry about that right now. Some of the great features this game has is MORE Pokemon(there was already 151 Pokemon in the Red, Blue, and Yellow versions;now there's over 250!), the incredible new time and day of the week feature, which enables the game to be set at nighttime as well, and some features are only open on certain days, plus, there's nocturnal Pokemon as well(Pokemon that only come out at night) and there's Pokemon that only come out in the morning, too. Plus, it has much better graphics than the Red, Blue, and Yellow versions did. There is also some new Pokemon types and attacks that didn't exist in Red/Blue/Yellow. Two of those types are the Dark- and Steel-types. It also offers more challenges and gym badges. You won't have a choice of Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, or even a Pikachu, like you did before. Instead, you will have a choice of;Chikorita, Cyndaquil, or Totodile. They are all the same types as the choices in the Red/Blue/Yellow versions, except Chikorita isn't half poison like Bulbasaur is, which is probably a good thing since the poison type has a lot of disadvantages. Anyway, this is all you will be up against in this game;Falkner, who can be found in Violet City, who uses the flying-type and offers the Zephyrbadge;Bugsy, who can be found in Azalea Town, who uses the bug-type and offers the Hivebadge;Whitney, who can be found in Goldenrod City, who uses the normal-type and offers the Plainbadge;Morty, who can be found in Ecruteak City, who uses the ghost-type and offers the Fogbadge;Chuck, who can be found on Cianwood Island, who uses the fighting-type and offers the Stormbadge;Jasmine, who can be found in Olivine City, who uses the steel-type and offers the Mineralbadge;Pryce, who can be found in Mahogany Town, who uses the ice-type and offers the Glacierbadge;and Clair, who can be found in Blackthorn City, who uses the dragon-type and offers the Risingbadge. After all that, you have to compete in the Pokemon League. But it's easier than in the Red/Blue/Yellow versions, as you don't have to battle your rival at the end. After that, even though the credits roll, you have yet to beat the game! Now you've got to beat all the gym leaders in Kanto. It wont be much of a surprise to Red/Blue/Yellow players;they are the same gym leaders! The only difference is Koga is replaced by his daughter Janine, and Giovanni is replaced by Gary. After you beat them, you've got to go to Mt.Silver to beat Ash Ketchum, who will be named Red. Fhew! After all that, you will have finally beat the game.
