Sticks Balls and Hoops

The moon and the earth are different in many ways. The earth's gravity is much stronger then the gravity on the moon. This means if something is dropped it almost floats. The moon has no air while the earth has air. No air means no air resistance. Air resistance effects the ball in golf, but in sticks balls and holes the ball isn't affected at all.

COMPARING AND CONTRASTING GOLF AND STICKS HOLES AND BALLS.

-one sport is played on earth the other is played on the moon.

-in golf you only have different types of clubs and in the game on the moon you have bats and different types of clubs.

-in golf you hit the balls into holes and on the moon you hit the ball into hoops.

-the ball used for the game of golf come in white and other solid colors where in the game sticks, balls and hoops you play with a 4 inch ball that is checkered black and teal.

-In sticks balls and hoops you may only carry 4 clubs and a bat, while in golf you may carry 14 clubs.

-In golf their is no way to lower your score, but in sticks balls and hoops you can my making it in the blue hoop.

Physics of Sticks Balls and Hoops

On earth golf is as much different then on the moon. Air resistance is a main part of golf. On the moon because their is no air resistance. On the earth the dipples on a golf ball are used help the ball stay straight in the air. If the ball had no dmples the ball would sway back and forth. Like a nuckel ball in baseball with a smooth surface the ball can move with the wind. Because of the lack of gravity on the moon the ball's momentum will carry the ball much farther, without gravity to slow it down. On earth the ball will go less farther because of gravity and air resistance. When you hit a golf ball on eather the moon or the earth the energy in the swing will transfer to the ball. The acceleration due to gravity on earth is 9.8 meters per second squared. On the moon the acceleration due to gravity is about 5 meters per second.

This sport is meant for a human. Some safety factors are:

-You must always wear your space suit.

-You must call for after every shot in your radio.

-No physical contact at anytime

-Make sure their is plenty of room before you swing.

-Never swing clubs or bats at any other players
