Okay, I know y'all don't really care about the bandness, but I'm going to put up pictures and expalnations of my adventures at band camp!
There is a lovely photo of our home. We lived in the front half of the Chalet. This side was boringly named Chalet A. After being there for an extremely short time, we renamed it Le Chateaux Merde, or the shit castle. Yeah, it smelled pretty bad, but it got better.
On Tuesday evening we went to the lake for fun and recreation. Here's a pic of Eryn, Alys, and behind them, Jessie trying to withstand the freezing temperatures.
The aftermath of the lake is reflected in the awfully soakedness of Alys and me. We were just heading back, and had someone snap a picture to prove we got in.
Ahah! Finally proof we did do work! This is our new found friend Kim, who is the Drum Major at Pasco High. She was lucky enough to be in our Chateaux. Here she is in 'our' clearing practicing during free time. She obviously plays the trombone.
Okay, we were being weird. We had been taking pictures of the local wildlife, ie, deer, fawns, squirrils, the like, and Alys brought out her lucky stuffed horse that lives in her trombone case. We took wildlife pictures of it. Here's one.
While we were at camp, there was a classic car show in Joseph, which is down the road aways. I couldn't help but take pictures of every car nearby. They were gorgeous!
On wednesday we went on an hour long hike. If was fun, but rather uneventful. The trail was pretty easy. I got some good sceanery pics though. This is a picture of some of the other campers crossing the bridge.
Here are Chris and Eric looking at me like I'm mad for taking so many pictures. Maybe they were right. Anyway, these were a couple of the guys we hung out with.
Hah! Something you thought you'd never see me do! I went horseback riding during some recreation time. Alys was kind enough to take a picture of me.
Just as we were leaving I discovered there were a lot of people not in my pictures. Here's one of them. Karl and Eryn are posing, but there are only two pictures of mine with Karl in them. Karl plays french horn, and played third horn part with me in our Master Class.
Here's a last minute picture of Rian, aka SARS boy. Yeah, there's a who SARS story from camp invloving a thing with Asian people. I'll explain later. Rian played trombone. He was in Eryn's Mixed Ensemble, and in Alys and my theory class. He's a really cool guy.
That's all for now, check back later for more!
