Pokémon Stadium

-
Pokémon Stadium is the next huge thing to come to the Nintendo64! This game brings the world of Pokémon to the N64 in a way that hasn't been done before, and it's sure to be the hit of the year!

Sure, there was Pokémon Snap last year, it may not have been the best game of 1999, but it was creative, fun and brough Pokémon to 3D... only it just had 62 Pokémon in it! Fans felt ripped-off... at least I know I did!

So just what makes Stadium so special? Well it not only contains all 151 of the original Pokémon, but it allows you to battle them in many different formats! Fans of the Gameboy games will feel at home with the turn-base battles, but new Pokémon fans will be able to get right into it too!

The battles aren't the only thing that make Stadium a kick-ass game... but it's all the extras! Here are a list of what you can expect on March 6th, 2000, when Pokémon Stadium hits the shelves:

Pika with the transfer pack, ready to play -a Gameboy transfer pack that allows you to not only play your original game on your tv (like Super-Gameboy) but also allows you to upload your Pokémon from your games to use during the battles! Plus it allows you to rearange all your items and Pokémon, which if you've played the game, you know thats a big help! It plugs right into the bottom of your N64 controller, and your Gameboy game plugs right into that! It's compatable with Red, Blue and Yellow, so you're outta luck if you want to upload Marril from Gold or Silver! But, don't worry... Stadium 2 will be out soon enough!

-Several multi-player mini-games! These are really fun! Expect to play a ring toss type game where you throw coiled up Ekans onto Diglet that pop up every so often, a digging game with Sandshrew, an electric battle with Pikacu and Voltorb, a Clefairy Simon says type game, as well as many others starring Magicarp, Kakuna, Ratatta, Metapod and others.

-a cool Snap type mode that allows you to take pictures of your Pokémon and print them out at the Snap Stations at Blockbuster and Toys R US!

-MANY different types of Stadium battles! Different modes include the Gameboy mode, Pika Cup, the Petite Cup, the Poké Cup plus a free for all battle that allows any level Pokémon to battle it out! Battles are three vs. three, and there is a multi-player mode available as well. When you complete the different cups, Mewtwo appears at the end of the Poké Cup to challenge you, and rumour has it that Mew can be won during this battle! I like that idea!

-speaking of winning Pokémon, by completing the Gameboy mode you win one of eight Pokémon that you can then transfer to your game!!! These are the Pokémon that you have to choose between during your game, so it's real hard to get them all, seeing as no one really wants to trade them away! They are Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Kabuto, Omanyte, Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee and Eevee! Now you can have all three Eevee evolutions! Yellow game owners might not care about winning Charmander, Bulbasaur and Squirtle, but now you can train up a Wartortle and a Blastoise (plus the evolutions of Charmander and Bulbasaur) as well and have all three Pokémon to upload to your game!

I'm sure there will be way more to come with Stadium, but for now I will wait for it to come out! I have my deposit on the game, so once it's March 6th, expect not to see some updates for a while!! I will be really busy!

They're finally in! Pictures and videos from the ENGLISH game! WICKED! Check it out below!
