What is a Pokémon?
Pokémon is short for Pocket Monster. They are creatures of different sizes with lots of different attacks that are used in battle. They can range from less than a foot tall to about 100 feet tall. Pokémon are actually a species but people say that they are creatures. There are 150 origonal Pokémon but there is Mew and lots of others that either have no number or are not discovered yet. Every Pokémon is unique. They have different moves and abilities that it uses to battle other Pokémon. There are different types of Pokémon. Rock, Water, Fire, Fighting, Grass, and alot of others. In battle, some Pokémon have advantages over other Pokémon. After so much experience Pokémon evolve (evolving is kind of like upgrading). The Pokémon are usually stronger and may even have more attacks when they evolve. According to Pokémon legend, a boy or girl who wishes to become a Pokémon Master must be at least 10 years old to begin Pokémon Training.
