The harbor was crowded with many people. They all were mysteriously invited to a Pokemon battle in a far away island. Ash, Misty and Brock turned out to be invited as well. Soon, a huge storm struck the harbor. The plan to sail to the island was cancelled and so many people who were invited were angered and furious. Out of the people, only 6 dared to travel to the island. Ash, Misty and Brock took a ferry boat that Team Rocket was on: only, they disguised there selves as the rowers. Jessie and James plotted to take them there so that they could steal Pikachu. However, they were uncertain that they would really catch him
A woman took Sedra to the mysterious island. A man took his ferocius Gyrados to the island. And another man took his Pigeot to fly to the island. Ash, Msity, Brock and Team Rockets ferry was a failure. They were almost drowned by the storng waves but later recovered and laned into an island. Was it the mysterious island? Or were they on another island? As it turned out, it was the island they were invited to and they later found out when thy went inside an odd building. They saw the unseen. It was a pokemon so intellegent that he matched the intellegence of human. He was also powerful. He knew how to talk human language. It was Mewtwo. The superior psychic pokemon
Mewtwo challenged the 6 trainers to battle him. At first, the man with Gyrados sent him to attack Mewtwo. Gyrados used dragon rage and weakened Mewtwo. It looked as if Gyrados had the advantage, but Mewtwo quickly used recover. Mewtwo was no longer damaged. Mewtwo then fought off Gyrados easily. He then threw the owner back. No one now dared to challenge Mewtwo because they knew his of his powers and they knew that he was undeafeatable. After that, Mewtwo wanted to make stronger duplicates of of each of the trainers pokemon and so he sent master balls flinging all over the building to capture each and every one. His plan worked. He planned that the duplicates be much more superior than the original copy
Soon after the duplication, Mewtwo held out an official battle. His pokemon were Venusaur, Charizard and Blastiose. Ash's Charizard, the woman's Blastoise and the man's Venusaur soon found out that they had lost against the duplicates.
In the middle of the movie, Mew appeared. As soon as Mewtwo saw Mew, he started attacking her. But Mew was as powerful. She dodged and blocked Mewtwo's hits. Mew hid inside a pink bubble when ever Mewtwo had did his powers. As Mew and Mewtwo continued to fight, the duplicates and the original pokemon began to fight as well. It was Mewtwo's and Mew's anger that made them turn against each other
In the end, Ash was going to stop the fight but was killed. Pikachu then was sad and dropped a tear on Ash and then as the other pokemons saw, they too started to cry. After that, Ash somehow was brought back to life. As Ash came back to life, the pokemons started to become friends. Even Mewtwo and Mew began to get along. The 6 trainers and all the pokemon were then sent back to time by Mewtwo and they did not remember a thing. they were at the harbor waiting for the travel when the storm hit. They knew that they could not go and so waited mintues until the storm had stopped. After the storm had ended, Ash, Misty and Brock headed back to home. As Ash came to look at the harbor one last time, he saw a mysterious golden bird fly past him. Ash was excited and was determined to sight the golden bird once again
