Today we look at what I think a new archetype. He is Blaine's Magmar. I think he is answome. You have a deck with 4 Blaine's Magmar, 4 Blaine, 4 Computer Search, 2 Ecola Gym an all the rest Fire Energy and you have a very powerful deck if you can gt a basic.

Attacks-

His first attack, Blow Fire, does 10 damage then you flip a coin. If hads, it does 10 more. For only one fire, I guess its a ok attack.

Second Attack, Lava Burst, is what makes this card so good. For three fire you can do a whooping 100 damage. You also have to discard energy though.

HP-

I wish it had the nice 70HP like a Fossil Magmar. But hey, it could have the extremly bad HP on the Base Magmar of 50HP> But this one is stuck in the middle at 60HP. Pretty normal and easily KO'ed. Thats why he needs to do quick and easy damage.

Blaines

Another reason he is so good is because he is one of Blaine's Pokemon. Meaning, you can use Blaine with him. (I wouldn't worry about Weakness much). So you can have him doing a 100 on turn two.

Combo?

This card is great with Ecola Gym and Professor Ulm. Since there aren't many trainers, and energy is also being discarded, these two are a must to keep you going.

Bad Things

Yes, Energy Removal and Super Energy Remova can slow him down a bit. But thats why there is Blaine (if you can get one.) He also has Weakness to Water such Water isn't that big anymore since the arrivle of Team Rocket's Zapdos. The other bad thing is the ugly 2 Colorless retreat cost. Blaine helps with that too I guess.

Overall I give Blaine's Magmar a 8.0. I think he is a very strong card and is very dangrous.
