Miyamoto is Jessie's mother. She appears only in the japanese CD Drama. She was a Team Rocket member at the time that Giovanni's mother, Madame Boss, was the leader of the team. Miyamoto was one of the best Team Rocket members at her time and was very appreciated by the boss. Eventually the boss sent her on a very difficult mission (some say suicide mission)- to capture the rare and elusive Mew, but Miyamoto disappeared in the snow while chasing it and was never heard from again. She is presumed dead but some say she is alive and there are a lot of rumors about where she is.
Jessie often mentions her mother in a very loving way. She has good memories of her mother and obviously loved her very much. Jessie never mentioned Miyamoto's Rocket past and I have to wonder if Jessie even knows.
A famous story about Miyamoto tells us that Miyamoto was trying to take Jessie's picture before going on the Mew mission but Jessie, who felt that something bad is going to happen, didn't stop crying. So Miyamoto had to take a picture of Jessie crying and that's the famous picture she had with her when she disappears.
