I’d always heard that when you fall in love you wouldn’t want to cry. But honestly, that’s not true. I think I cry more now than ever before.

It’s incredible how little I sleep anymore. I’m afraid to sleep anymore because every moment I’m asleep is one moment less I have with him. Yes, my dreams are filled with images of him. But my reality is filled with so much more of him. His voice, his laughter, his hugs, his smiles…all the things that make me wish sleep never had to happen.

I’ve found myself standing in front of him so many times, the words on the tip of my tongue. How simple it would be to say I love you, but they always end up saying something like how was your day, or nice shirt where’d you get it. And then I watch his mouth…that perfect mouth, curve into a smile and a laugh. Feel his hand on my shoulder as he pats it…like a friend.
