Mission

TACOM’s Total Armor Partnership (TAP) Forward deploys with units that have M1A2s, M1A2 SEPs, Wolverines, M2A3s and M3A3s. Tailored to support weapon system densities and provides repair, upgrade, receipt, storage, and issue of M1A2, M1A2 SEP, Wolverine, M2A3 and M3A3 unique electronic Line Replaceable Units (LRU). Using Government owned assets and contractor support, TAP Forward provides complete support to the theater for these components and operates as a forward maintenance and supply depot.

 

The primary mission of the TAP Forward is to enhance readiness through integrated application of TACOM and AMC logistics power projection of CONUS based logistics capabilities to deployed TACOM Weapon Systems based within the theater of operation. The TAP Forward performs this mission in conjunction and coordination with the TACOM Forward Integrated Readiness Management Team (IRMT). TAP Forward, once deployed, will operate on a 24 hour day, seven (7) days a week work schedule.
