justin sirois is founder and co-director of narrow house. His writing has appeared in, The DC Poetry Anthology, Poets Against the War, Psychic Rotunda, and Newtopia Magazine. His first book,Secondary Sound (BlazeVox), concerning digital piracy, DRM, DJ culture, and copyright reform, will be out this winter. He lives Baltimore, Maryland.

Jamie Gaughran-Perez lives in Lauraville, Baltimore and works down in Washington, DC. He edits and publishes Rock Heals, a Narrow House weekly with the help of the rest of the group. He’s published poems in various journals (/Fence/, /Outlet/, /Untitled/, /Scout/, /Lipstick Eleven/, and others) and the recent Baltimore anthology /Octopus Dream/.


Andrew Miller is a musician and writer who has lived in every nook and cranny
of the east coast and midwest. He is the tuning fork and pitch finder for
Narrow House Recordings.


Lauren Bender is an interdisciplinary artist living in working in Baltimore, and graduated from Towson University in 2003 with an Honors Thesis in Painting.

Recent exhibitions include Nostalgia for Almost (SoWeBo Arts Gallery, January 2006), the Beaux Arts Fair (Scottish Rite Masonic Temple, November 2006) , Exchange (Warehouse, Washington, DC, (October, 2006), and Arbitrary Specifics (Subbasement Artist Studios, July 2006).

Recent performance works have include Sphere of Fear (SFEAR): The Phobic Purge as it Relates to Phobias, Fears, Death and Dying, Through Sensory Input, Psychic Response, and Text/Technological Output, Etc (with Megan McShea and Bonnie Jones, Load of Fun Studios, 2006), Ground Songing (with members of the Performance Thanatology Research Society, Artscape, 2006), and performative readings at the i.e. Reading Series in Baltimore (2007), and the In Your Ear Reading Series at the DC Arts Center in Washington, DC (2005).

Publications have included poems on www.rockheals.com (2006), in The Shattered Wig Review (2005), and the chapbook The Dictionary Poems: Some Bees (New Lights Press, 2004). Another chapbook is forthcoming through Big Game Books in 2007.

Lauren has been a Contributing Editor for radarreview, a contributor to The Urbanite and LINK: A Critical Journal on the Arts in Baltimore and the World . She now is the Literary Editor for WORD, the contemporary poetics section of PEEKreview.net. She is a Curator for the upcoming Yockadot! Poetics Theater Festival, in April 2007.


Kevin Thurston focuses on text in any and all forms.
his work has appeared in the journal of experimental fiction, the lost
and found times, the shattered wig review and his chapbook, o outbreak,
was released by furniture_press. he has performed, or had his work
performed, at the manhattan theatre source, current gallery, soundlab,
spare room and the district of columbia art center among others.
also active in art objects and mail-art, kevin produces the assemblage
d r a f t i n g and has co-curated events with ric royer and just buffalo
