Dear Mary
It's been a rough day for me today
Procrastination's come back and slapped me in the face
My client depended on me and I lost the case
All that effort, all that money's gone to waste
I've been walking around with a blinding guilt
It's slowly eating me away like nothing I'd ever felt
I had no choice but to retreat to this hole in which I've dwelt
Still hoping for wealth at the expense of my health
I can't concentrate enough to do my work
I can't concentrate enough to change my fucking shirt
Pain ripples through my body--Oh God, it hurts
Five years of hard work has amassed to nearly nothing
I think my facade's finally cracking
Revealing to the world what I've been concealing
I'm laughing and chuckling, but I feel no joy
I'm becoming more isolated, more depressed, and more coy
My nerves are frayed liked torn felt
I need consolation
I need your help

Dear Mary
I can't feel my legs
I can't feel my feet--where's the peace that I seeked?
My landlord had me evicted when she found out about you
I've worked so hard, but look at what my life's come to
I don't know how much more I can take
I'm spending much more money on you than I make
My headache's back and there's no sign of it leaving
I'm blinded by the light--don't know why I'm bleeding
Charlie's not helping out, so I'm giving up on him
If he drops anyone else a line, I hope they'll do the same
I'm not sure of how much more I can take of you
Look at all the problems that you've put me through
I might give you up too, pretty soon
I can't think right now, so I guess I'll sleep on it
These migrains are both dangerous and chronic
It's dark out and I'm stumbling into oncoming traffic
I hope I wake up tomorrow morning

COMMENTS
This is NOT about a guy writing a letter to his lover. There are some really obvious
clues in there as to what it's about. If you didn't get it, good for you. You should
really be proud of yourself.
