Illustrations
I've got a new scanner (flatbed, this time) now, so I can scan stuff now. Every piece on this page was drawn and colored by moi (that's "me" in French, in case you didn't know [pronounced "muah"]). If you want to request a picture, drop me a line and I'll discard--I mean, consider it.
"Liberi Fatali" I just recently picked up on my abandoned FFVIII game save and that brought back the interest. I started drawing a cool picture of Squall with my usual mechanical pencil (the pros use special pencils, but my mechanical pencil works for me). I finished a few days later, scanned it in, colored it, slapped on a few other things and voilá. A masterpiece. You like, yes?

"Bikini" I wanted to practice my shading and the original photo had a nice contrast of light and dark. But the scanner couldn't pick up my light penciling, so it looks way better on paper.

"Pondering" As always, the scanner couldn't pick up the details of my light penciling, so the original pic is way better. It's still a great piece. Ihis is also the largest picture I've done. It's about 11" x 20", as opposed to my normal 8.5" x 11". I'm not a master at drawing by any means, so I used a Victoria's Secret catalog for the head and the contours of the arms and legs. The rest of the body was relatively easy to do. Except for the foot, but that turned out rather well. G'damn, she's amazing...

"Young Chun-Li" I drew this months ago and forgot about it. I found it a few weeks later and spiffed it up, then forgot about it. I scanned it in, started coloring, but had trouble, so I stopped. Finally, I stopped procrastinating and finished the crappy coloring job. The costume's not really one of hers; I just designed my own, gave her long hair and smaller breasts.

"Sketch I" A montage of sketches I drew in class while I was severely depressed. The skull looks incredible in its original size. Note: None of these pictures are in their original size. I shrunk them to increase download times.

"Absolute Rulers" "Dude, we're fucked."

I really screwed up on the latter two and on the Microsoft logo. Yes, that is my barely-legible handwriting. I really hope no one gets offended. Especially Mr. Gates. All hail Bill Gates.

"Backstabber" When I drew her, I decided she was too beautiful to make obscure by superfluous garments. If anything's gonna get my ass kicked outta Angelfire, it's this. Couldn't get the pubic hair to look right, but I love the collar/necklace thing; it accentuates her nakedness. I'm happy with this piece. So's "Mini-me."

"Vanishing Faerie" A cool picture of a faerie dissipating. I couldn't get the feet right, so I decided I'd take the easy way out and fade her. Yes, I'm aware of her awkward hair. I suck at drawing hair, hands, feet, and women's eyes.

"Young Lake" A cute sketch I made of Lake. It has more of an animé feel to it, which makes him look younger. I really like this simple coloring style. There aren't that many methods I can color my pictures, though, seing as how I don't have Painter (another animé artists' graphics editor of choice). Painter costs several hundreds of dollars. Gotta start savin' up those bottles 'n' cans, huh?

"Raiden" I basically sketched an old guy and figured it looked like Raiden from Mortal Kombat, so I named him so.

"Lake" Lake's the main character of a story/rpg plot I was developing. I'd jot down ideas and sketch conceptual designs for it in school. Eventually--like all my other stories--got put away, never again to see the light of day. This is my first attempt at coloring in this "purposely-botched-airbrush-job" style. I really like it. Believe me: the thumbnail image doesn't do the actual picture justice.

"Ogre" A cool picture of an ogre I drew. I generally find it much easier to draw good-looking guys than I do good-looking women, because women are curvier than guys. Either that or I'm just really picky.

"Miscellaneous Portraits"
Two portraits of random characters. One looks like a friendly guy; the other looks like a freaky vampire. It's my first shot at a charcoal pic. Think this picture's shit? That's okay; so do I.

"Cyborg" A picture of a cyborg chic. I drew this when I returned to L.A. for a visit. I didn't have a lead/mechanical pencil, so I was stuck with a normal No. 2 pencil. It's all good though; it turned out good.

"Batman" Behold, the world's crappiest color job! Originally, I was gonna draw in a couple of batarangs (hence the strange position of his hands), but I got lazy and erased them. C'est la vie.

"Nemesis" A picture of Nemesis from Resident Evil 3 Nemesis. It's my first attempt at drawing a mono-chromatic picture. It was originally drawn completely and solely in pencil. I stupidly tried to make a copy of it using my fax machine, and it smudged it, so I had to fix that. Another issue was that its head was mishapen. I fixed that with my computer (copy, paste, flip).
