Note: You must have the Visual Basic 5 runtimes files installed on your machine in order for any of these applications to function. If you don't, get them here(vb500a.zip). If you're not sure if you have them, download the programs and run them. If you come across an error message, then you'll know you need them. You'll also need an unzipping program to open the zip files. Get one here.

File Slicer v6.5

Ever need to transfer files from one PC to another via floppy diskettes
and found that they're too big for the floppy to hold? File Slicer splits
up files into smaller pieces. You can split files up in three ways--by
specifying the number of parts you need, the size of the parts, or choose
the option designed specifically for splitting up files for floppies. If
you choose the latter, you'll be glad to know that File Slicer, unlike
other splitters, doesn't waste a single byte of space on your floppy.

Here's a few more things that make it superior to other splitters:
It's smaller than any other I've seen--it's a mere 244 KB unzipped!
You can choose whether to have the .bat file it produces automatically
delete the parts after reconstructing the original file.

It's hella faster--it works 8x as fast as another splitter.

You can change the font, font color, and background color.

Does not need to be installed!

It's freeware, meaning you don't have to worry about limiting the size
of the files, only being able to use it within so many days, having to
pay for it, or anything. Abuse the power!

Tired of searching through the Start Menu for programs/files you use often?
Get Quick Links. It creates a small icon on your system tray (next to the
clock on the taskbar) that shows a menu with links to whatever you want.
It supports command line arguments, and can sort the links in alpha-numeric
order.

Note: A type mismatch bug was fixed in version 2.0.

Troubleshooting

Some people receive error messages when they attempt to run my software, telling them that a component either cannot be found or isn't properly registered. If you encounter this, your system needs one or more of the following controls. Download whichever the messages ask for and extract them to either C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM (where C: is the letter of your hard drive), or to the same path as the program(s) you download. To conserve space and decrease download time, all of these have been zipped up.
