Longest Walk
The Indians walked
for thousands of miles,
And we never once
thought of their
hardships and trails,
Along the way their
loved ones died.

And we never listened
to their pleas and cries.
All they wanted was
to be left in peace.
And all we did
was gave them grief.

The trail they trod
so long ago
Is now a trail well
traveled and old.
But as we take the
path through the years
Let us not forget their
Fears and tears.
