Dare to dream
Without a dream,your soul dies,"
an Indian once told me,
but I just laughed it off,
going out into the world to see.
As a child,I would have
believed him.
As an adult I thought I knew more.
I took every change, and many a risk,
And opened every door.
But as I grow older
and experienced life as it came,
I grew not richer nor wiser.
Another of his saying hit me
" It is a good day to die,"
and pondered at the Indian's wisdom,
for he knew much more than I.
Now I dare to take the challenge
to breathe life into my soul,
to take the chance I'd not yet made,
And make a dream my goal.
