remember not
what hate hath wrought
remember only me
who came into a life besot
with hope in infancy
turn not your mind
but turn in kind
a cheek for every slight
from those that seem
to think to dream
is privilege, not a right
and bend down to
help all those who
look up to see your face
for they are all
who will recall
when you might fall from grace
that you were there
and made to share
each of God's gifts with them
so each could live
in all you give
when others would condemn
so I implore
do not ignore
your neighbor and his lot
Though life here ends
it all depends
on what you life has bought
you see, the price
for paradise
is paltry in compare
with all you gain
if you remain
in thoughts for you are there.
