Then and Now
I only smile to hold it in;
the pain from our "Remember When."
I only laugh between the tears.
Laughing helps to shroud my fears.
It only hurts me all the time,
to think that you're no longer mine.
I hope that you remember how
I laughed because of here and now.
My fears and hurts were far and few,
and all my wants and needs were you.
