This poem was inspired by the loss of a co-worker's mother who's life was
tragically taken in 1993. On April 24, 2008, Donna would have celebrated her
50th birthday. It is therefore with honor that I dedicate this poem to
" Donna Lenore Goldsmith "
May GOD and his angels watch over her and keep her safe
 
" Don't Be Afraid "
Our hearts have ached with sadness
an emptiness that was filled with fears,
Years of hatred and anger
and our eyes have shed many tears...
We sometimes walk a path of darkness
not knowing if this is a way to live,
But God has taught us to love our neighbor
and to find it in our hearts to forgive...
You don’t have to be afraid anymore
for God’s angels came and took you home,
You’ll be surrounded by music of happiness
and you’ll never again be alone...
God is there to hold you &
he’ll embrace you with his loving hands,
Don’t be afraid to follow his footprints
for it is him who always understands...
We’ll treasure the time we had with you
as we celebrate this very special day,
our hearts will forever love and miss you
and your memory will never fade away...
