As A Mother...

As a mother, my most precious gift in life
is a child.
They stay small for only a little while.

I sit back and watch them from day to day.
It's amazing to watch them grow in every way.

As a mother, it's up to me to teach them
right from wrong.
To teach them the words to their favorite
lullaby song.

As a mother, it's up to me to teach them to
love and not to hate.
To teach them, that for some things in life,
they will have to wait.

As a mother, it's up to me to teach them
responsiblity.
As they grow into an adult they become the
kind of person they want to be.

As a mother, I can only do the best I can.
And when they they fall, to lend a loving
helping hand.
