GONE, THIS FUTURE
collection of desire
licking down
into puddles of symmetry,
some liquid mimicry-
two gleaming eyes,
your eyes:
this rippling mirror
of contemplation,
desperation,
an invocation of ?please
i want all?
dripping up the
frame of you,
of the shame in you,
all contours and shadows
lined phrases,
missing pages-
melting into a future?
some future, the wrong future
staring backwards,
a web of tangle-
faceted angles
you dribble out,
clutching only
dust and a little past
this repetitive mistake,
you mistake
won?t let go, don?t let go,
drowning through and in and about
the error of you
