A friend sent me this personality survey. I fail to see the point or even the entertainment factor, but what the hell!
1. First Name: Riven. Well in actuality it's Whitney, but most just stick to Riven.
2. Were you named after anyone? Yes, my great-grandmother. She married her husband, my great-grand father when she was fifteen and they were married until old age and death, despite an unfortunate incident involving excessive amounts of booze, this floozy named Unis, and the resulting tattoo of her name on my great-grand father's arm [lucky, that arm was later ripped off in a nasty industrial accident]. They were rich, not that it did me any good.
3. Do you wish on stars? In times of desperation or romantic nostalgia.
4. Which finger is your favorite? Unequivocally, my thumbs, for their greater freedom of movement. Read Tom Robbin's Even Cowgirls Get The Blues, and you will understand.
5. When did you last cry? I truly can't remember. It's been awhile.
6. Do you like your handwriting? I have spectacular handwriting.
7. What is your favorite lunchmeat? I crinkle my nose in distaste and report to having none.
8. Any bad habits? Lots: I am Master Procrastinator, I clean my room only ever other moon, I hitchhike, and I'm a soda fiend.
9. What is your most embarrassing CD on the shelf? I profess to own a Linkin Park c.d. Totally embarrassing, I know.
10. If you were another person, would you be friends WITH you? Hell no!
11. Are you a daredevil? Typically, no, but I usually play the bad-ass in front of my firends.
12. Have you ever told a secret you swore not to tell? Not since the fifth grade.
13. Do looks matter? Albert Camus wrote the only serious question in life is whether or not to kill yourself. I don't think that meets the bar.
14. Have you ever misused a word and it sounded absolutely stupid? I consciously make a consistent effort not to stumble into malapropism, but I do - and often - accidentally rearrange vowels and consonants within the words I try and choose to use.
15. Do you think there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow? Gold really doesn't hold the same value in the market that it used to, so I would wish for plutonium.
16. Do fish have feelings? I am unsure, but I do worry about the mental health of my friend- Katherine's hamster.
17. Are you trendy? What the hell does that mean? Does it give me secret pleasure to be looked up in approval by others, yes - but am I retarded? I would certainly hope not.
18. How do you release anger? Frequently and outrageously.
19. Where is your second home? My dad's apartment in Mobile, AL. It's the same one he lived in nearly twenty years ago, before he met my mother. When he moved back in I heard him say, "Damn! I've come full circle."

21. What was your favorite toy as a child? The way that question's phrased troubles me, for am I not still one now?
22. What class in school do you think is totally useless? I'm actually of the opinion that public school as we know it is no more than a device to regulate competition into the job market.so, all of it.
23. Do you have a journal? Currently? No. I periodically start one up, but I only get as far as 3 or 4 entries, before I forget I have one.
24. Do you use sarcasm a lot? Probably.
25. Have you ever been in a mosh pit? Yes! YES I have! IGGY POP IS MY LOVE GOD!

28. Would you bungee jump? When I was eleven, I was strapped in and ready to go, but I screamed to stop before the final moment. I think I would like to now, though.

Same as yesterday.I worry about the state of my soul and the financial condition of my future, whether or not art is dead in this culture, if whitening my teeth is just what the man wants me to do, what'll happen if I violate my probation, and I worry that I'll never find someone who falls in love with me back.

66. Who is most likely to respond? The AOL fiends. You know who you are.

74. What is the first thing you think of when you wake up in the morning? I was still half-asleep and in no condition for concrete cognitive thought, but something along the lines of, "Why won't they be quiet?"
It appears I skipped number 70. Oh well, I never liked that number anyways.
That took, like, an hour of my life that I'm never getting back.
