on the swirling carpet

a pill box and a handful of pinkies

you swallowed the same

when gripped by Karl

eight cinemas with a floodlit lobby

he spotted your teenage beauty

feeding you compliments, then heroin

dragging you to his slum meat market

those steel grey eyes

stunned by a parade of strangers

hitting a groaning death to your groin

"on that sofa I sat

perving at the good looking men

waiting for Karl

terrified by the security guards

but they never said a word"

when he came into view

a relief and a fiery hatred!

a rising love and a knife-stabbing hurt

calling you "slut"

then throwing another crumb

to a starving girl
