Twin Sentry

near a surf lifesaving club

we pass spray bitten cliffs

dunes with low straggling scrub

a twisted survivor

pumice bark banksia

a suck of tap water - a rising head

confronting  a pair of grim faced palms!

their "plastic" throat

red seeds in a grass skirt

beyond, thousands of palms in rainforest

Bangalow Palm in majestic defiance!

your toes in a skeletal dune

surrounded by weeds

windblown salt

and a spreading holiday town
