THIS POEM IS ONE THAT I WROTE
MY GRAND DAUGHTERS WEDDING.
I READ IT THERE.
ALL MY GRAND KIDS
CALL ME ...
KRISTIN & HON'S
The time has come for Krissy and Honz,
To tie the knot and join their hand.
To pledge their vows to each other now,
And proclaim their truth to all the land.
Grandma and PopPop
are here today,
To witness their precious grand-daughter
We're somehow a little sad to think,
We must share your love with another.
We love you so - as you do us,
For our loving daughter, is your mother.
It was not that long ago,
That you were our babe-in-arms,
With all your love,
And winning charms.
You were and still are,
Our little angel girl,
You are and always will be,
More precious than the rarest pearl.
Now you are talking unto yourself a mate,
And we'll; love you both as one.
You will still be our loving granddaughter,
And he will be out loving grandson.
You found your hope in each other's arms,
And love came fluttering in.
With each meeting and embrace,
You knew that Cupid was sure to win.
Now as you stand before your Creator, God,
And without hesitation profess your vows,
Ask Him for His blessings all,
And for all the joy that life allows.
Come place your hands in His,
And feel the warmth He bestows,
Upon this union He is merging,
Let your new lives begin as a budding rose.
Do not dismay when things go wrong,
God will take care if you ask.
Lay all your worries at His threshold,
Then in all His goodness, you can bask.
Now pledge your vows to Him alone,
Make Him uppermost in your home.
Never let the sun go down,
While either are wearing an angry frown.
Before you leave His altar now,
Give God all glory He deserves,
Then kiss the bride, to seal your vow,
God will keep more blessings in reserve.
