Age: 11 (At start)

    Atticus is a young Japanese-American who has a hard life. His Japanese father died when his son was only three. Atticus' prejudice mother didn't pay any attention to him. So he would knock around the neighbors' houses for food. The boy even had to work in order to get a pair of shoes. All looked grim for Atticus until he met Aoi. Now he has sworn himself to protect her until the end.

Age: 11 (At start)

    Aoi is Atticus' sweetheart. She too had a rough life. The girl was in terror of her father and never wanted to go home. Aoi was in despair until she met Atticus and grew close. She vowed to stay by his side forever.

Age: 12

    Sanjiro is Atticus and Aoi's first son. He basically can stand on his own two feet. Sanjiro lived with Aoi when the couple when apart.

Age: 9

    Norio is Atticus and Aoi's second son. He follows his brother around and idolizes him. Norio loves both his mom and dad.

Age: 5

    Marilyn is Atticus and Aoi's daughter. She is the baby of the family. The little dear is deaf. Aoi didn't know at first and beat Marilyn down sometimes. Now they are close.
