February 29 1956
From the very beginning, all was lost
A teenage mother waits alone
To bring forth a child of ice and frost
In a place that would never be a home
The child grew up in a world apart
From love, hope and light
The years of living with a shattered heart
Left her life an eternal night
She traveled south to seek the warmth
Of a bright an blazing sun
She found all the hate she'd left behind
And a cold and souless gun
To please the woman she had finally found
And to give her gifts and wine
She found the seven and gunned them down
And built a desperate lovers shrine
She thought real love had at last come round
And peace was very near
But loves betrayal would soon be found
And the world would drown in tears
They found her out, and tracked her down
And shackled her with steel
They locked her up that she might drown
In madness all too real
They kept her there until the time
They would finally end her strife
And early one October morn
The state did take her life
