Between the Dust Storms

What you see behind these words (top page) is where I live. It is where I have lived for the last month and where I will be living for the next hundred days. I am currently deployed to Iraq, and perhaps this wasn't the best of times to begin a web page, but it gives me something to do when there is nothing else. Between the dust storms I come here to write what is inside my heart and on my mind. Hopefully you can receive something from each of these entries, but they are very personal and I will forewarn you, often depressing. The following entries will contain some of my latest poetry, writings, and thoughts. Thank you for reading.

Name: Rosmerta

something in your entry drew my curiosity, I am not at all sure what, maybe a motherly instinct, since I am old enough to be your mother. I hope you have time to write another entry soon, My prayers and best wishes for you and your new wife are the best I can do. Personally, I wish all our boys were back here, where they belong, protecting our country, from home. don't get me wrong, I know why you are there, I just wish for all of you, that when it was over , it was truly over, good luck in your studies, and if its a teaching degree you are going for, I am sure will do well. I hope this writing finds you, and keeps you in good health.
I look forward to reading your poetry, depressing or not, I am sure they will be from the heart. I will sign this, "a friend in the states." bright blessings upon you.
