FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How Does D S A M E Help Me Become Famous?

You send us a recording of just you or your all female band playing one or more original songs or reading one or more original poems or stories. We only want to hear the songs, stories or poems that you or your all female band wrote and actually played. If we feel that your music, poems or stories are compatible with our band's style, we will invite you to join The BNB Christian Free-OP B.A.N.D. of Bands. We choose the song, poem or story that we like the best and we record it with a collection of other independent musicians, poets and storytellers.

We then send you an email or a postal letter describing the songs, poems and stories that will be on the the upcoming music collection. If your song is with the other artists we ask you do you want to record it with the rest of the band at the same time in a professional studio. Or we may need you to fill one of our many positions available for backup singers. Together, we create the band master recording for professional duplication and nationwide distribution.

On the same day that we make our master recording, we will also take group photographs for use on the cover of the master collection music duplicates, posters, our promotional flyers, T-shirts and our booklet. Everyone in the band is free to sell the music duplications, posters, and T-shirts to people all over the world, as a fundraiser and/or to raise revenue for your music career. We also donate, free-of-charge, several autographed collector's-item copies of the music collection and booklet to non-profit charities so that they can sell it or auction it at their next fundraiser. They keep 100% of the profits.

If you choose, the music collection brochure will contain you or your band's contact information (phone number, email, website) so that you can sell your own items and keep in contact with a larger audience all over the world. This way you can also keep in contact with a greater audience to: infoem them of where you will perform (either with our band, your band or solo) and to sell your own t-shirts, posters, buttons, stickers, etc.

Also, although some of our band members will perform on an individual basis throughout the year, our next scheduled concert as an entire group will be on New Year's Eve 2003. Rain, shine or snow. As is everything in our band, attendance for this concert is on a 100% stress-free voluntary basis. It will be an outdoor show, but each of several different groups or individuals in our B.A.N.D. of bands will only perform one time each for about 5 to 10 minutes so we shouldn't freeze too bad. Depending on how much publicity we can all generate, we estimate between 100 to 500 people will show up. Mostly friends, family and die-hard independent music admirers and complete nuts. 100% of the proceeds of this particular concert's ticket sales will go to purchase co-op grocery store food so that our band can mail it to poverty stricken elderly, disabled and single parent families in remote areas. Revenue from T-shirts, buttons, bumper stickers, posters and master music collections sold at this event will benefit those B.A.N.D. of band members who don't desire to donate it to the cause. The concert will reach its peak and end as the city's fireworks explode in the sky.

IF I send my song, poem or story to D S A M E and the BNB band do I still own it? YES. When you send your song, poem or story to D S A M E you still have 100% ownership of your song, poem, story or anything else that you send to us. In no way, manner or form does D S A M E or the BNB band become owner of your material.

What do the letters BNB stand for? BNB is a ninth-dimensional acronym meaning that it stands for many things to many people. Also, the words made from the letters BNB do not necessarily start at the first letter nor end at the last letter. The most popular meaning of BNB is: True Inner Beauty is Never Boring. That phrase came from the fact that although most large record label corporations will only work with musicians who are beautiful by society's cosmetically enhanced definition of beauty, what matters to our band is your inner beauty. Your inner beauty is TRULY never boring. Also, a few other popular definitions of BNB are:

* 'Babies Worldwide Need Brave Mothers Like YOU'
* 'Ballistic Rhythms Not Ballistic Missiles'
* 'Beautiful Planets Need Bicycle Riders'
* 'We entertain, so the distant Blue cloaked tangerine sunrise...
..will remain.
Not for the Blackened clouds of pollution...
of acid rain,
and oozing, toxic cash green layered lies.'

Is the BNB band an all female band? No. We have one male secretary. His (self-chosen) name is T.v.L.I.M.I.T. BNB.(The very least important member in the BNB). He is the one who makes most of the phone calls and takes scheduling appointment information.

What does "Christian Free-Op" mean?

Trying to describe the combination of the words "Christian" and "Free-Op" is like trying to describe the color combination "blackish blue" to a person starting to learn English. Just as a dictionary has many different definitions attached to the words 'blue' and 'black', so too, does each person have a different emotional history attached to each word in 'Christian Free-Op'. Thus, we wouldn't try to define it precisely. For an adult, the best answer that we can give to that question is for you to keep an open mind and read the King James Version Bible and discover your own definition of "Christian".

Then, for the definition of Free-Op, the easiest answer that we can give you is that "Love and Freedom combined with Community and Co-Op Support and Principles equals Free-Op".

However, for a more in depth hands-on explanation, perhaps you may want to visit a Co-Op grocery store to see how it operates, what it offers the community and earth and how it makes you feel just being there. [To find a co-op grocer in your state here is the directory

http://www.coopdirectory.org/directory.htm ]

Although there are an endless variety of wonderful co-op examples that we could give you all over the country, we would like to offer you one example from each of five different states:

a great example of selfless giving

http://www.olympiafood.coop
Simply walk into Olympia Co-op stores and take a look at their magazine selection and you will discover that they carry newspapers for Native Americans, Organic farmers and other groups that many mainstream stores refuse to carry. A great example of non-descrimination.

The website is extremely outspoken on social justice issues.

A wonderful shopping experience.
Moab, Utah Co-Op's phone number (801) 259-5712 [no website]. Another excellent store.

If you want an exhaustive definition of what the "Free" in Free-Op exactly means, here it is.

The "Free" in Free-Op means 7 things:

#1. It is important to us to at least attempt, to try to apply the principles of love and freedom in all that we do.

#2. It is important to us to feed the hungy, food that is free-of-charge to them.

#3. It is important to us to keep our poems, songs, stories and art FREE of counterproductive and divisive characteristics such as profanity, slander, hate and lyrics that encourage violence.

#4. It is important to us to support, encourage and promote the artistic FREEDOM that enables an artist to be truly independent. Many bands, clubs and groups offer their services only if you remain a member of their organization. However, once in the BNB, if members leave our band (temporarily or permanently) in good standing, we would like to continue to offer those members benefits simply due to having been part of our band. In this way, among other ways, we hope to help all our members remain artistically independent.

#5. It is important to us to support, promote and encourage the usage of free-of-charge Mp3 poetry, songs, stories and art for the people.

#6. It is important to us to let people know that we feel that New Hampshire license plate motto, "Live Free or Die" is sooOOooo cool!
br> #7. Free is FREE

How many people will their be in the BNB?
200 strong. No less, maybe more.
