A Lhiannan Sidhe/leannan sidhe is a celtic vampiric muse fairy. The spelling I use is the Manx (isle of mann) spelling, and it is their version of the myth that I associate it with. She is said to be a very beautiful fairy who inspires artists, and, as payment for her services, she takes a part of their life force. I personally believe that this was used as an explanation as to why so many writers/artists died young.
