Here is a review my dear
friend Chris George wrote of my poetry several years back:
Chère
Laura,
Your works are so deeply
personal - so profound - that I can't help but be touched - no, enveloped - by
every essence of their meaning. Your poems have truth and reality in them,
and these elements naturally make the poems difficult to write. I respect
your courage in confronting difficult aspects of life and society; I am so
honoured you shared them with me. They are the best gift I
have received in a very long time. Your poems confront the very
bases of our society - what is "right" - where is love - whose "fault" is it -
who cares - what is life - why live it? These questions are the questions
everyone asks themselves. Your poetry hits on the core of human
existence. Thank you for letting me read them.
Ton meilleur
copain,
Christopher
George
