When I'm so sad at times, and the world seems too heavy,
you always
find a way to help me carry the load.

When I get on my pedestal and rant and rave,
you
never chastize,
(even though
you don't always agree).

It's not that you have all the answers, for no one really does.
But somehow,
it seems you always know just what to say.

We
can talk of the good, the bad, the ugly;
it
doesn't seem to matter,
but that's
what friendship is all about.

When my soul needs to be nourished,
you always
have the proper way to cultivate me.

like best, my friend, that you allow me to be honest.
Even when my
honesty isn't always becoming.

and you
never discourage me,
even though I

Amazingly so, you are always there when I falter

ever I were in trouble, I'd know just where to turn.

wouldn't even have to explain,

You'd be there, in a moment's notice
putting a coat
of armor on me first, for my protection,
and you'd tote
the biggest sword you could find,
into my
battle.

I ever need to smile, I know just where to go,
because no
matter what kind of mood you're in,
you always
seem to share in laughter.

If
ever I need to cry, I know that you are always there,
offering
your shoulder for support,
your heart
for understanding,
your soul
for compassion,
and your
spirit for sharing.

I
listen to you and realize you may feel you have little to offer,
or that your
experiences may not have earned you any awards,
or your
feeling sometimes of having little value in this world.
But
if it's any consolation to you ..
I think you
are the brightest star,
the purest gem
that was ever discovered,
the warmest
sunshine, the sweetest smile,
the greatest
giggle ever heard,
what's more,
my life would be a much less meaningful place,
if you weren't
here sharing your friendship with me.
