I came into his life like a whisper in the wind
He held me once in his arms
He told me things that made me strong
He was the hero that will always live in my mind
The one who always stood by my side

He was the one that was pure in every way
His love carried us through good and bad times
He always had a smile no matter what
He lifted his heart to all who came around
His wings were made with feathers
That was always heaven bound

I know now he suffers no more
He has found his place of warmth
He'll be fishing by the ocean side
As he watches the sea gulls fly

His earthy body was taken form this world
But his spirit forever thrives
Each and every day he still lives
Deep in our minds
