I am

I am like the eye of the storm,
Very calm and still between destructions;
I am as strong and only destructible by myself,
Like the diamond;
I am calm and soothing,
Like the blue of water;
I am as solitary as the dead of winter;
I can be as bright and overpowering as noon;
I am as virtuous as Lincoln,
And as bold as Dr. Moreau;
I am as sweet as the scents of a meadow;
I hope to be as solid as a redwood,
holding my ground against all odds;
I am everything I hope to be.
-By Veronica Vallejo

I am

I am bubbly teacup daffodils
I am ancient jade in dusty tombs
..... Forest green compressed and glossed
I am aspen leaves that tremble
I am breathless autumn that burns and breaks
..... Fiery passion crumbled, dust
I am a queen of majestic purple mountains
I am the witch that turns them all to dust
..... Blowing softly to even the ground
I am a sleeping inspiration that will never waken
I am breezy thoughts that come and go
..... Whims too short and light to be substantial
I am whistling in the face of the real world
I am praying that my smile will never turn sour.
