This was a little bullshit thing that this guy I used to be down with threw.

I was on Staff since I made and passed out flyers at Care Free. It was pretty kool, I felt all special.

So- Ashley was learning how to glo styck with strings, Shawn was hooking up with some guy, and kOz was feeling the muzik totally!

This was the first time I saw DJ Pokey spyn, and holy shit! It was sooo good!

He started out with this Alice and Wonderland story thing... you know those stories on tape you would listen to when you were little... with the chimes that signaled a page turn?
We'll- he started his set with the begining of one of those!

Then- it blew up into this mind-melting trance!

All I could do was sit right in front of the tables in an absolute daze!

I watched him spin for an hour and a half... Every record he laid down... every move he made... My blue eyes were like glu!

I guess his left table kept on fucking up... the motor was weak or summat. and he train wrecked a couple times.. but I didnt even notice!

When he got done with the most amazing, mind bending set I have ever had the honour of listening to... I went and told him what an amazing job he did. He said thank you and gave me a hug (I ended up getting hugged by him THREE more times!) He turned to his friend Tony and said "She was sitting in front of the tablez the entire time- just smiling and boppin away.. totall oblivious to all my mistakes! Aint she great??"

I was like AWWW!

The guy who put on the party told him I am a big Demetri fan... and Pokey said he knew Demetri. I was like: "Yeah- Demetri is my absolute faveorite DJ- but you are coming in VERY close!!! You are one of my new heroes!"

He was like "Awww! You are so sweet!" and hugged me... AGAIN!

Even though it wasent big, and it was thrown by a person who went on to become a jack ass and called me a pozer *yeah- he is almost kool!* it was still a night of discovering why parties are sooo good... all over again!
