Corky is our family dog. He came to live with us in 2002. He was pitiful. He belonged to a family who had many Chihuahua dogs and he was just not the center of attention with that family. He was thin and had long toenails and was about 8 months old when we first met. I originally looked for a dog for our youngest son, but Corky bonded with me from that first moment and has been with me ever since. He has fattened up and he is the center of attention. He is a little dog but he thinks he is so BIG and that he rules the house.

Max came to live with us as a new kitten just this past year of 2006. I did not want another cat. We had a beautiful cat several years back and finally had to give her up due my allergies. However, once again, our youngest son really wanted a kitten. We found a beautiful Siamese kitten just before Mom passed away and when we had to move in with Mom, she couldn't have kittens inside, so we let Kevin's parents adopt Simon till we got settled. Well he attached to them so well we couldn't disturb that. So we set out to look for yet another kitten and Max was found. He was a cute little thing and he and Corky don't get along great, but Corky doesn't get along with anyone other than me and Joshua. Max has grown and there is such a huge difference between cats and dogs and their personalities. Max comes and goes as he pleases and he is curious, lovable, playful, and then other times he will completely ignore you!
