Every since I was a little girl I have prayed.
When I was little and had just begun to write, I
would write God notes and place them in my
window sill at night. I felt at ease going to
sleep knowing God would be reading my thoughts
and prayers as I slept. When I awoke I would
check the window for the note. Of course it was
still there, but I knew he had read them. I
suppose I felt the notes were closer to God. I
have always enjoyed writing and so not only
would I talk to him, but I would write him as
well. I continue to write my "Dear God" thoughts
down to this day.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him,
that if we ask anything according to His will,
He hears us. And if we know that He hears us,
whatever we ask, we know that we have the
petitions that we have asked of Him. 1 John
5:14-15
Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; and attend to
the voice of my supplications. In the day of my
trouble I will call upon You, for You will
answer me. Psalm 86:6-7
The LORD has heard the voice of my weeping, the
LORD has heard my supplication; the LORD will
receive my prayer. Psalm 6:8-9
Evening and morning and at noon, I will pray,
and cry aloud. and He shall hear my voice. Psalm
55:17

“Should we feel at times disheartened and
discouraged, a simple movement of heart toward
God will renew our powers. Whatever he may
demand of us, he will give us at the moment the
strength and courage that we need.”

It's
been said that faith may move mountains, but
prayer moves God. Amazing, isn't it, that our
prayers, whether grand and glorious or feeble
and faint, can move the very heart of God who
created the universe? To walk with God we must
make it a practice to talk to God.
THIS IS
JUST A RESTING PLACE
Sometimes the road of life seems long
as we travel through the years,
And with hearts that are broken
and eyes brimful of tears,
We falter in our weariness
and sink beside the way
But God leans down and whispers,
"Child, there'll be another day."
And the road will grow much smoother
and much easier to face,
So do not be disheartened -
this is just a resting place.
