I thought that we would be together forever
You were my love, my comfort, my most prized possesion
I lived my life for you and you alone

One day things were not right
My heart dropped
I felt empty inside
I knew right then that you were gone
because the rain began

The heavens were darkened by heavy clouds
The thunder shook me inside
My heart then broke this day

I'm waiting for my rainbow 
and the sun to shine once more
To heal the pain of this heart 
That was so harshly broken
