Lifes Road
Tonight you left me,
with such a smile...
Will it last for years,
or only a short while?
I know you’ve been hurt,
and I don’t know how...
But the past is the past,
the future is now...
The choices we make,
will decide our destiny..
Question is;
will it be here with me?
Time will tell,
so I am told...
We began with a friendship,
in which we did mold...
For what we have now,
is a feeling in our hearts...
It may be one step,
but also a terrific start...
You mean more to me,
than you will ever know...
That’s why it hurt so much,
when you wanted me to go...
A little time has past,
here we are together again...
In truth this is the only way,
I could really be your friend...
Just remember, the problems we have,
only last a short while...
Don’t give up hope,
just look at me and smile...
My love for you is my strength,
I refuse to walk away...
We will get through it together,
day by day...
I want to go through everything with you,
and this I hope you understand...
I can’t imagine walking down life’s road,
not holding your hand........
