blind prophecy

Have you ever just stopped and looked around you and

Realized that your friends aren’t the chains that bind you?

When you can see that the world isn’t out to get you,

You can then see the shit that we have been through.

You locked the door, threw away the key

Can’t you see, it’s you and me, the irony.

When you realize what you’ve done,

I hope like hell you’ve had your fun.

You shut me out without a care,

I hope you see the light when it finds you there.

You say the blind lead the blind,

Well if that’s true, you’re in a bind.

Cause if you don’t stop and look around,

You’ll see that there is nowhere to be found.

And you’ve fallen so far from grace,

You’ll never make it back at this pace.

Salvation watches as you whiz on by,

He’s not willing to give it another try.

I see you, watch you every day,

What I see, I dare not say.

Cause if you never open your eyes,

Your ears will never hear my cries.

The agony you had not planned,

And what you don’t know, you can’t understand.

Falling further down the rabbits hole,

Sanity’s gone too and swallowed you whole.

When you see the time has passed,

I hope you understand me at last

Because I know you can’t see,

And all you say is a blind prophecy.

Blind man, lead on now,

You look, then see, now take a bow

For now you perceive more clearly,

That the world is not merely

Sights and sounds to be absorbed,

Love and time can’t be restored.

And in the end the darkness that you see,

Is just a vision of you versus me…
