Life is like a ladder that you will have to climb
And all you can do is take one step at a time.
You begin this lengthy journey with an empty cup,
And put in what you do on your way up.
It is not your goal to quickly reach the top
Because that's when your life will have to stop.
and then you'll have to answer, that final day,
For the sins that you committed along the way.
If that cup of life is brimming with Sin,
God decreed death for the sin therein.
After death you face a decision as well,
Whether you'll be sent to Heaven or Hell.
An Eternal Fire will engulf the Soul
That has not been made completely whole.
A way has been made to escape that fire,
It's a way that was made easy to acquire.
God loved you so much He sent his Son
To pay the price for what you have done.
He was nailed to a cross and shed his blood too,
His death was the total ransom for you.
Now, accept Him as your Savior for eternity,
And God's son Jesus, will set you free.
Fill the cup on your ladder, the rest of your days,
With serving Jesus in Worship and Praise.
