Burdens

You sometimes have a trial, the outcome you can't see,
And you whine and fret and worry impatiently.
You go every day with the problem on your mind,
Yearning for the solution you're so desperate to find.

Loved ones are accustomed to the look on your face,
Creating an appearance even time will scarce erase.
Anxiety has placed your hopes high upon a shelf,
The only one you trust, though shakily is yourself.

You seem to be in a quandary from day to day,
Doubtful in your own mind, just what you might say
Or think, or feel or do that might alleviate
The events that brought you to this present state.

You've been trying so hard to find a way out,
And circumstances have left very little doubt
That your future is in shambles and at what a cost!
The integrity you built is now almost lost.

If this describes another and your woes are much less,
An indiscretion has left your life in a mess.
You're not hearing this accidentally or in vain,
For there is a solution to your problems and pain.

Jesus, took all the anguish and the agony
When he knelt in the Garden of Gethsemane.
Taking all your Burdens, God's only Son
Said Father, Not my will, but thine be done.

He knew what God had sent him to do,
To Shed his blood on a cross for you.
He arose victoriously from the Grave,
And now it is You He wants to save.

Receive Him as your Lord and Savior today.
Your problems may not rapidly go away.
Although things may still look sort of dim,
He tells you to cast every care upon Him.

He'll take away your sins and you will find
He'll replace them with perfect peace of mind.
You never again in fear need to be,
For you are His child and have been set free.
