Live Another Day

Gun shot going off at midday
Scared shouts as people turn and run away
Man lies motionless on the side walk
In a growing puddle of red
What just happened here?
I don’t believe my eyes
My ears
My heart skips a beat
Crowds disburse as the gun takes aim
Hiding cowards
The gun
There all the same
A body falls
Will it rise another day
And if I may
I will never say
I was at this place
This time
This day
Two things lay down
Lying on a bed of red
I don’t see anything wrong with this
It’s sensitized with us almost everyday
TV
Radio
Books
Games
It’s not all real
The two suits will push reset, stand up
Walk away
Isn’t this how life works?
Bleeding
Dying
A siren comes
Takes them away
Fixes us
We will live another day
I know this
TV said it was true
The camera doesn’t lie
It has to be true than
As for the bodies
