Let Me Go

Walking off into the sunset
Down the path of regret
Thinking of ways to forget the past

Taking tome to do some thinking
Somehow I ended up drinking
Could it be a way of easing the pain?

How can I make this better?
How can I get this over?
Why can’t I just let her?
Let me go

I don’t know why
I think its love
A gentle hate of fellow man
Taking love as it shows
Not for what it does
I was blind

How can I make this better?
How can I get this over?
Why can’t I just let her?
Let me go

Now crawling back into darkness
Crawling into hatred
And what follows

Singing out of tune
Listening to an old radio
A harsh voice

How can I make this better?
How can I get this over?
Why can’t I just let her?
Let me go

I’m a fool
What else can I say?
I just want her to see
See the other side of me
I’m a lira
A thief
I stole a heart
And led about it
I may be many things
But you’re a revolver
One shot left
Put it up to your head
Fire
Will I die?
How can I make this better?
How can I get this over?
Why can’t I just let her?
Let me go

How can I make this better?
Let you go
Let me go
Kill me now
How can I get this over?
Pull of a hairline
A small explosion
Kills me now
Why can’t I just let her?
Let me go

How can I make this better?
How can I get this over?
Why can’t I just let her?
Let me go
