Have you ever loved something or someone and not known it?
Well I just found out I did
My best friend had the world’s nicest dog
She was a golden retriever
She was getting on in age, but was still a puppy at heart
Now all we have left of her is in memories
She died in the night at 2 in the morning
They say she didn’t feel pain
I know she was old
But she died naturally so I don’t feel as bad
